With the new Conversations magazine out, Arterritory goes to ART COLOGNE 0

The core of all texts published by Arterritory.com has always been and remains our interviews – conversations with artists, curators, collectors, art critics, historians and others...conversations on a wide range of topics concerning contemporary art and beyond. For we believe that within and through the means of a face-to-face conversation, people reveal themselves more truly than they do in rehearsed speeches; the spontaneity of a back-and-forth exchange can yield revelations that long-prepared articles and publications cannot. Even more so, if the speakers in question are people who have spent more time doing and thinking about contemporary art than the rest of us, the outcome is likely to have a very special added value. Therefore, we pay a great deal of attention to planning and carrying out our interviews, and then very carefully turn them into articles that are interesting and pleasant to read.

For the sixth time now, the best of our recent conversations have been compiled and published in the form of a printed magazine. The newest edition of “Arterritory Conversations No 6” consists of fourteen interviews with prominent international figures of the contemporary art world. Among them are the artists Sigalit Landau, Hans Op de Beeck, Imants Tillers, Dor Guez, Ellen Pearlman, Artur Žmijevski, and Jan Fabre; architect Yoshiharu Tsukumodo, curators Nancy Ireson and Katerina Gregos; the director of the Istanbul Biennial Bige Örer; the Head of the Framing department at London's National Gallery Peter Schade; the artistic director of PinchukArtCentre and YARAT – Bjorn Geldhof;  and ART COLOGNE director Daniel Hug.

Coincidentally, ART COLOGNE, one of Europe's oldest and most important art fairs, is exactly where one will be able to first get their hands on the new edition. A delegation from Arterritory.com is going to Cologne this week to experience the art fair first-hand as well as to present the new publication and its previous issues. You’ll be able to find us at the Arterritory.com stand at the Art Papers area (Hall 11.3/ B-041e) of Koelnmesse, which is where the art fair will take place.
