Copenhagen Fashion Week (CFW) is the biggest event in the northern-European fashion industry, and a bold testament to the eccentric creative energy that churns in this region. Despite the cold-snap that overtook the first week of February, CFW literally reached a roiling boil – both on the catwalk and in the audience – with cleverly hot-blooded colours and textures in a season that usually dictates a functional need for cosiness and warmth. Who says that Nordic winters must be minimalistic and restrained? On the contrary – hibernation requires strength and energy! These two factors were in full abundance at the just-concluded fashion week that featured collections for the 2018 autumn/winter season. Basically the main takeaway was – don’t drown yourself in grey! For urban hibernators, the style trends seen both on the runway and in the visitor seats at CFW could be encapsulated as: pink, unusual interpretations of plaid, blankets/scarves as coats, calculated layering (sometimes with a dose of humour), and white.

The following Arterritory photo report gives a glimpse into the frame of mind that was Copenhagen Fashion Week 2018.
