On Monday, April 1, concluded the international Art Paris Art Fair 2013, which had brought 143 galleries from 20 countries under the magnificent domes of Grand Palais. But in the main spotlight as the fair’s guest of honour was Russia. This year, as Guillaume Piens, the director of the fair, explains in an express interview with , ten galleries form Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don and Vladivostok, as well as 20 Russian artists represented by other galleries, were invited to participate in the fair. This concept has a historical foundation as here in 1906, during the course of Salon d’Automne, Sergey Diaghilev introduced Parisians with the Russian art. Have a look at our photo reportage from the event that coincided with Easter holidays.
